Miguel Pinto Luz is the current Deputy Mayor of Cascais.
Since 2005, he has held various senior public service posts within Cascais Council.
He was also  the Director of the Paula Rego Foundation and Vice President of the Lisbon Tourism Regional Organisation.  During the XX Constitutional Government, he was the former Secretary of State for Infrastructure, Transport and Communication.
Miguel Pinto Luz graduated in Information Systems Engineering and Electronics Engineering from the Technical University of Lisbon, Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) in 2000, and continued to develop his academic and research career, having obtained an MSc in Information Technology Networks at the same University, where he also  came to lectured a variety of subjects both at graduate and post graduate level.
In 2012 Miguel went on to obtain an MBA at the AESE Business School / IESE (University of Navarra) and is currently studying for his PhD at the Rotterdam School of Management – Erasmus University.
