André Pereira Nassar was born in Rio de Janeiro where he started his career in advertising in 1990 at local agencies such Speroni and Contemporânea.
In 1998, he moved to São Paulo to join Fischer América and, two years later, he became Head of Art of Leo Burnett São Paulo.
During his tenure, Leo Burnett won the first Cannes Lion ever in its 25-year history in Brazil, in addition to the first Lion for Fiat in the world with the TV spot “Road” for the Marea Turbo.
Nassar played an instrumental role in the process that propelled Fiat to the leadership of the Brazilian automotive market and Leo Burnett São Paulo to a position among the top three Leo Burnett offices in the world in 2002.
He has held leading positions at Leo Burnett São Paulo, FCB, Euro RSCG and Y&R (Brazil’s largest agency in terms of billings). In 2007, he joined the creative team led by Marcello Serpa at AlmapBBDO São Paulo (the most award-winning Brazilian agency in the world since 1999, according to the Gunn Report).
His clientele in Brazil included Fiat, Volkswagen, Peugeot, Mercedes-Benz, GMC, BMW, Kellogg’s, Electrolux, Samsung, Intel, Procter & Gamble, Danone, Nivea, Pfizer, Air France, Embratel Telecom, Claro Telecom, BankBoston, Petrobras, Havaianas, Pepsi, among others.
In December 2013 André made the move from his native Brazil to the Middle East and has taken on the role of Executive Regional Creative Director for Leo Burnett UAE, Kuwait and Lower Gulf. Having worked with a diverse range of agencies, clients and networks has made him a very flexible and experienced leader, prepared to deliver solutions for any kind of client or challenge.
He was responsible for more than 60 creatives under the Dubai operation, and has led them to win more than 50 international awards since 2014, including Cannes Lions, Lynx, D&AD, and LIA for clients such as du telecom, McDonalds and Samsung.
His leadership and creative work have helped the agency to win clients such as Emirates Airlines, Dubai Design District, McDonald’s GCC, Emirates NBD Bank, Ferrero, Masafi Water, Al Ain Water, OSN, Dubai Properties, Global Village, Beea’h, MEERAS, MAF (Al Zahia), Omantel, GMC, Spotify and all within 5.5 years.
In February 2020, after 6 years in Dubai, Nassar made the move to Lisbon, Portugal, in search of familiarity and new paths for his career.
His portfolio includes 15 Cannes Lions, 3 Grand Prix at Dubai Lynx, D&AD, Clio, London Festival, Effie among others as a creative.
