Alex Vicentim Villas Boas is Principal Researcher at Universidade Católica Portuguesa and scientific coordinator at the Centre for Research in Theology and Religious Studies (CITER). Currently a Professor of Hermeneutics in Religious Texts on the Integrated Masters in Theology and Religious Studies. A Professor of Theology and Literature on the Doctorate in Theology. Education: Certified (professorship) in Ethics and Theological Language by the Pontifícia Universidade of São Paulo (PUC SP). A PhD in Systematic Theology from the Pontifícia Universidade of Rio de Janeiro (PUC Rio). A Post-doctorate from the Pontificia Università Gregoriana, Roma (PUG), from the Institute of Spirituality. He is also an Editor of Teoliteraria – Journal of Literature and Theology. Works in the field(s) of Humanities with an emphasis on Theology and Literature, Religious Studies, Philosophy and Human Rights.

Talk: Spirituality and leadership: a contemporary dialogue 
Spirituality is a dimension of life, which is invariably understood as connected to religion, but can also be interpreted as a way of searching for meaning, and awakening to the quest and the ethicization and aesthetisation of life. The question thus presents itself; what does spirituality have to do with contemporary leadership? How does spirituality relate to culture? What are its toxic models? What are its authentic models?
