Ace V. Simpson is Reader in Human Resource Management and Organizational Behaviour at Brunel Business School, Brunel University London. Ace has a keen interest in human well-being, flourishing and social justice, and his research is concerned with positive organizational practices such as humility, psychological safety, paradox transcendence, and love. His main research focus is on the cultivation of organizational compassion, which he is currently studying as a critical missing factor in most programmes aiming to address the persistent problem of workplace bullying. Ace’s research has been published in journals such as the Academy of Management, Journal of Management, Journal of Business Ethic and Management Learning. Ace is also co-author of Positive Organizational Behaviour (Routledge, 2019).

Yan Bai

Yan Bai received a Ph.D. in Management from IESE Business School, Spain. Her main research interest is on ethics and decision making within organizations. Her current work focuses on how new technology affects organizational behaviour and the implications for leading organizations in an AI world. She previously served as an assistant professor at Xi’an International Studies University in China (2010-2014) and researcher of the Centre for Business in Society and of the Social Innovation and Social Entrepreneurship platform at IESE Business School (2014-2019). Currently, she lectures Business Ethics and Social Responsibility at Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics, Portugal.

Bobby Banerjee

Bob is Professor of Management and Associate Dean of Research & Enterprise at Cass Business School, City University of London. He researches and teaches on sustainability, climate change, corporate social irresponsibility and resistance movements… He has published widely in international scholarly journals and his work has appeared in Academy of Management Learning & Education, Business Ethics Quarterly, Human Relations, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Management Studies, Journal of Marketing, Management Learning, Organization and Organization Studies among others. He is the author of two books: Corporate Social Responsibility: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly and the co-edited volume Organizations, Markets and Imperial Formations: Towards an Anthropology of Globalization. Bobby was a Senior Editor at Organization Studies from 2007 to 2019.

António Saraiva

António Saraiva has been the President of CIP – the Portuguese Business Confederation, since 2010. CIP is the largest and most impactful association in Portugal.
António Saraiva has become one of the most influential figures in Portuguese society and has dedicated over 40 years of his life to associativism.
Today he is deemed an expert in corporate diplomacy and associativism and is a highly sought-after speaker and business commentator. He is the veritable self-made man.
He began his professional life as a factory worker at Lisnave Shipyard and later went on to become Sales Manager at Metalúrgica Luso-Alemã and then Chairman of Metalúrgica Luso-Italiana, SA.
He is also Chairman of Taguspark, the largest Science and Technology Park, Chairman of Compta Infrastructure and Security, and a Member of the Board of Compta SA.
He is also a member of the Strategic Council of SOFID – the Society of Financing and Development, IFIC SA, Member of the ATEC Advisory Board, and is the current President of the Observatory for the Maritime Economy.
On an academic level, he is a member of the ISCSP – Advanced Institute for Social Science and Political Studies University Council, Member of the ISCTE University Education Council and member of the Strategic Council of the Lusófona University. He also lectures Corporate Diplomacy at ISCSP University.

Antonio Saraiva also received the Order of the Prince from the Portuguese Republic for outstanding services.

António costa e silva

António Costa Silva is a Professor at the Technical University of Lisbon (IST) in Lisbon where he received his aggregation in Planning and Integrated Management of Energy Resources. He also holds an MSc in Mining Engineering from the same University aa well as an MSc in Petroleum Engineering from the Imperial College (University of London) and a PhD from the Technical University of Lisbon and Imperial College on “Development of Stochastic Models applied to Oil Reservoirs”. 
He is also Chairman of the Management Commission of PARTEX OIL AND GAS Group. PARTEX is involved in oil and gas operations in Abu Dhabi, Oman, Kazakhstan, Brazil and Angola.
From 2001 to 2003 he worked at the French Institute of Petroleum (IFP) in the BEICIP-FRANLAB organization as Director of Operations and Head of the Reservoir Engineering Department. He was responsible for the coordination and supervision of the Technical Teams and  for the execution of the Hassi-Messaoud Project for Sonatrach in Algeria (encompassing Reservoir Modeling, Reservoir Simulation, Field Development planning, design of the Miscible Gas Injection Scheme), the Cantarel Project for Pemex (Mexico), the El Furrial, Zapatos and Bachaquero projects for PDVSA in Venezuela, the North Harad Project for the Gawhar field in Saudi Arabia and the Gaschran and Salman Projects in Iran. He also acted as the Project Manager for the Determination of the Reserves of an off-shore field in China, having been appointed by the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce as the international expert responsible for the arbitration of a dispute on the Reserves issue.
He is often invited to participate in Energy Conferences in the Portugal and abroad including the  following, among others: the Transatlantic Dialogues about energy organized by the Marshall Fund of USA and Germany in Potsdam (2007); the Seminar about Energy Security organized by the Deutsch Bank in Berlin, as part of the preparation of the G-8 summit (2007); the Seminar of the Brookings Institution held in Washington on “Transatlantic Energy Strategies and Resource Nationalism” (2010); the ADIPEC CEO’s Summit held in Abu Dhabi (2010); the “World Upstream Conference” held in Geneva (2011); the Seminar on “Global Security Challenges for Europe” organized by the European University Institute in Firenze, Italy (2011); the “23rd Annual Middle East, Petroleum & Gas Conferences 2015” held in Abu Dhabi (2015); the ADNOC CEO’s Summit, held in in Abu Dhabi in 2016 and 2017.

Viktoria Kaufmann-Rieger

Viktoria Kaufmann is an experienced leader with a demonstrated history of working in the automotive industry on international level.
She started her career at Volkswagen Austria in 2008, as Assistant to the Brand Director, having successively worked in the areas of market research, network development and head of the sales control department for all Porsche brands in Austria.
In 2012, she takes on the role of Porsche Brand Director in Santiago, Chile, where she remains until 2016, when she moves to Colombia as CEO of the importer of the Volkswagen, Audi, Seat and Škoda brands.
In 2019 she takes on the position of Managing Director of SIVA, a subsidiary company of Porsche Holding Salzburg, that represents all the Volkswagen group brands in the Portuguese market.

Francisco X. Froes

Carlos Morujão

Carlos Morujão is Full-professor at the Faculty of Human Sciences of the Portuguese Catholic University and Director of the Research Centre of Philosophy. He is currently also the Director of the Centre’s journal, the International Journal of Philosophy and Social Values. His main research area is phenomenology. He has published extensively on philosophy of the mind, philosophical anthropology and political and social philosophy. He has also research in other areas, namely the philosophies of Kant and Fichte. He lectures on the BA of Philosophy, the MA in Theology and the BA in Psychology, among other curricular units Modern Philosophy, Contemporary Philosophy, Philosophy of Language and Anthropology. He has several papers published in Portugal, Spain, France, Germany, The United States and Brazil. His published books include the following titles: Organism, System and Freedom (2007), Crisis and Responsability (2013), Paths in Phenomenology (2015), Philosophical Anthropology. A Phenomenological Perspective (2020).

Isabel Vaz

She graduated in Chemical Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico (1990) and has a Masters in  Business and Administration (MBA) from Universidade Nova de Lisboa (1994).
After graduation, she began her professional life as a research scientist at the Institute of Experimental Biology and Technology (IBET). She was Manufacturing Project Engineer at the Atral Cipan Group. In 1992, she joined McKinsey, strategic consulting company senior management, where she was senior consultant for seven years, participating in projects primarily in banking and insurance.
She has been Chief Executive Officer of the Luz Saúde Group since 1999, leading more than thirteen thousand employees in 30 health facilities, including the Hospital da Luz in Lisbon. Since 2012, the Group manages also a public hospital in a public-private partnership – Hospital Beatriz Angelo, in Loures.
She was a member of the Faculty Board of the New School of Business and Economics of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa, and a member of the International Advisory Board of the Lisbon MBA in the same university.
She was also a member of the General Council of the Universidade de Lisboa.
She regularly spoke at conferences on health management, leadership, human resources and financial sustainability of health systems at the invitation of several universities and other institutions.
In 2015, she received the award «Excellens Oeconomics 2015» from Jornal de Negócios, for being the best portuguese manager of the year.
In 2017, she received the award «Maria de Lourdes Pintasilgo 2017» from Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), awarded to former students who distinguished themselves in their professional and social career.
In 2019, she was considered one of the 10 most powerful portuguese women by Forbes magazine.

Pedro Castro e Almeida

Pedro Castro e Almeida is the Country Head for Santander in Portugal. He is also the Vice-President of Board and has been the President of the Executive Committee of the Santander Bank since 2019. He has also been on the Management Board since 2007.
Pedro Castro e Almeida is a graduate in Business Management at ISEG – Instituto Superior de Economia e Gestão in Lisbon, and went on to work and advance his career at Arthur Andersen and later at the Santander Group.

André Pereira Nassar was born in Rio de Janeiro where he started his career in advertising in 1990 at local agencies such Speroni and Contemporânea.
In 1998, he moved to São Paulo to join Fischer América and, two years later, he became Head of Art of Leo Burnett São Paulo.
During his tenure, Leo Burnett won the first Cannes Lion ever in its 25-year history in Brazil, in addition to the first Lion for Fiat in the world with the TV spot “Road” for the Marea Turbo.
Nassar played an instrumental role in the process that propelled Fiat to the leadership of the Brazilian automotive market and Leo Burnett São Paulo to a position among the top three Leo Burnett offices in the world in 2002.
He has held leading positions at Leo Burnett São Paulo, FCB, Euro RSCG and Y&R (Brazil’s largest agency in terms of billings). In 2007, he joined the creative team led by Marcello Serpa at AlmapBBDO São Paulo (the most award-winning Brazilian agency in the world since 1999, according to the Gunn Report).
His clientele in Brazil included Fiat, Volkswagen, Peugeot, Mercedes-Benz, GMC, BMW, Kellogg’s, Electrolux, Samsung, Intel, Procter & Gamble, Danone, Nivea, Pfizer, Air France, Embratel Telecom, Claro Telecom, BankBoston, Petrobras, Havaianas, Pepsi, among others.

Bruno divides his career between the theatre, television and the radio.
In the theatre he has appeared in Antes Elas do que Nós, (Rather Them Than Us) by playwright João Quadros, and Avalanche, by Ana Bola – both staged by António Pires; Os Melhores Sketches dos Monty Python (the Best Monty Python Sketches), directed by António Feio; Azul Longe das Colinas,(Blue beyond the Hills) by Dennis Potter, A Conquista do Pólo Sul,(Conquering the North Pole) by Manfred Karge and O Meu Vizinho é Judeu,(My Neighbour is a Jew) by Jean-Claude Grumberg – all three staged by Beatriz Batarda; and Actores,(Actors) by Marco Martins.
He is the playwright of “Deixem o Pimba em Paz” (2013) (Leave the Pimba Alone), where together with Manuela Azevedo, he deconstructs the most emblematic songs of the popular music genre in Portugal. The Show, which was produced as an album, is still on tour and in 2016 it was presented live in Terreiro do Paço to an audience of 30 thousand.
He is one of the creators of the podcast “Uma Nêspera no Cu” 2ª Loquat Up the Bum ( 2015)”, which would later come to be presented live at the Coliseums which sold out both in Lisbon and in Porto, and returned in 2019 to the same venues as a musical, and repeating its great success once again.
His television career has given him notoriety from the outset of his career when he became recognised for his stand up comedy act in highly successful programmes such as “Levanta-te e Ri” (Stand Up and Laugh), “Manobras de Diversão” (Diversion Manouvres) and “Herman Sic”, among others. He also presented some programmes such as “O Pior Condutor de Sempre” “The Worst Driver Ever” and later became the host of the “Lado B” (B Side) talk show. He appeared on programmes such as Contemporâneos, (The Contemporary) which he co-created. He created, wrote and performed in “Last to Leave” (RTP) and “Odisseia” (Odyssey) (RTP). More recently he created and presented the programme “Som de Cristal” (The Sound of Crystal) (SIC) and in 2017 appears alongside Miguel Esteves Cardoso in “Fugiram de Casa dos Seus Pais” (They Ran Away from their Parent’s Home ( RTP), a joint original creation, In 2018 he co- writes the series “Sara”, directed by Marco Martins and starring Beatriz Batarda, the first episodes of which premiered at the Indie Lisboa – an International Film Festival. The series premiered on RTP in October.
On the radio together with João Quadros he is co-creator of Tubo de Ensaio (Test Tube) on TSF. He also writes the Mata-Bicho (Breakfast) sketch on Antena 3 and, more recently, Não Tejas Medo (Don’t Be Afraid) on Rádio Comercial.
At the end of 2018 he returned to Stand Up Comedy, after an interruption of 10 years. The New Show is “Depois do Medo (After the Fear), which is currently on the road with every date sold out wherever he goes. In October 2019 he presents his Show in Lisbon at the National Theatre Dona Maria II – and remains forever in the history of the venue as it is the first time the National Theatre hosts Stand Up Comedy. The tickets for the 5 performance dates sold out in 24 hours.
In October 2019 he performs in Lisbon at the Nation al Theatre and in May of the same year he returns to the Lisbon Coliseum with Uma Nêspera no Cu: O Musical (A Loquat Up The Bum: The Musical) and premieres the show “A Matança Ritual de Gorge Mastromas”, (The Ritual Killing of Gorge Mastromas) with staging by Tiago Guedes, at the National Theatre D. Maria II.

Filipe Melo

Filipe Melo dedicated himself to the piano from an early age, with a special interest in jazz and improvisation.
He studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he received a scholarship and graduated Summa Cum Laude. He also attended the Hot Clube School of Jazz in Lisbon. He was the recipient of the Bucharest Jazz Competition, and the Outstanding Musicianship Award from Berklee and other several awards.
He worked with musicians such as Benny Golson, Seamus Blake, John Ellis, Peter Bernstein, Omer Avital, Donald Harrison Jr., Jesse Davis, Sheila Jordan, Paulinho Braga, Jordi Rossy, Swingle Singers, Martin Taylor, Perico Sambeat, Herb Geller, Hotclube Jazz Orchestra, Metropolitan Orchestra, Portuguese Symphony Orchestra, among many others. He also works as a composer, pianist, orchestrator, and music director for musicians and projects from all sorts of genres other than jazz and teaches at Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa.
In Film, he created several cult projects – the short film “I’ll See You in My Dreams” (2003), winner of Fantasporto, Méliès d’Or and another 12 international awards and ” Um Mundo Catita” (2008). He also directed video clips and advertising spots.
At the same time, he devotes himself to comics. He currently writes for Tinta-da-China in Portugal, and for Dark Horse Comics in the US. His books are prefaced by legendary filmmakers John Landis, George A. Romero, Tobe Hooper, and Lloyd Kaufman. The Adventures of Dog Mendonça and Pizzaboy have more than 20 reissues. His books are published in the USA, Poland, England, France and Brazil. For Dark Horse, he published his stories in the anthology “Dark Horse Presents”, alongside Mike Mignola and Frank Miller.
In 2016, he published The Vampires (Tinta-da-China), a book inspired by the homonymous music by Portuguese author Zeca Afonso. In 2017 he published “Sleepwalk” – the first comic book story to be in the literary magazine Granta Portugal – that later became a book Comer / Beber and a short film (which he wrote and directed), premiered at IndieLisboa International Film Fstival (Portuguese Competition).

Pedro Pinto is both a journalist and information director at TVI.
Since 1997 he has been a lecturer at Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa in the International Relations and Communication Sciences departments.
Pedro has a Masters in Development and International Cooperation by ISEG, with a thesis on the economic integration of Mercosur, he is also a researcher at Observare and a PhD student in International Relations in the fields of Geopolitics and Geoeconomics.
He has published two historical novels: Serpa Pinto, o Mistério do Sexto Império and O Último Bandeirante, both distributed in Brazil.
