Atualmente, o mundo regista mais de 117,8 milhões de pessoas deslocadas à força devido a guerras, perseguições e eventos climáticos extremos. Quase 70% destas populações enfrentam o exílio há mais de cinco anos. Nesta intervenção, Isabel Roth partilha os bastidores da resposta humanitária de emergência e os esforços contínuos na busca por soluções duradouras. A talk promove ainda a reflexão sobre como a sociedade civil e o setor corporativo podem fortalecer a resiliência e a eficácia destas respostas, garantindo segurança, dignidade e uma oportunidade de recomeço para milhões de pessoas.
//EN Today, more than 117.8 million people worldwide have been forcibly displaced due to war, persecution and extreme climate events. Nearly 70% of these populations have been living in exile for more than five years. In this session, Isabel Roth offers a behind the scenes perspective on humanitarian emergency response and the ongoing efforts to deliver lasting solutions. The talk also explores how civil society and the corporate sector can strengthen the resilience and effectiveness of these responses, helping to ensure safety, dignity and the opportunity for a new beginning for millions of people.
BIOGRAFIA
Responsável de Alianças Estratégicas na Portugal com ACNUR, liderando o desenvolvimento de parcerias com entidades públicas, empresas, fundações, grandes doadores e iniciativas filantrópicas para mobilizar recursos destinados à proteção de refugiados, à sua integração e à resposta a emergências humanitárias em diferentes regiões do mundo. Com mais de uma década de experiência nos setores humanitário, cultural e educativo, tem desenvolvido iniciativas de elevado impacto nas áreas de mobilização de recursos, gestão de projetos, curadoria e produção de conhecimento. É autora de dois livros educativos sobre direitos humanos e desafios contemporâneos e frequenta atualmente o mestrado em Migrações, Interetnicidades e Transnacionalismo na NOVA FCSH.
//EN Head of Strategic Alliances at UNHCR Portugal, leading the development of partnerships with public institutions, companies, foundations, major donors and philanthropic initiatives to mobilise resources for refugee protection, integration and humanitarian emergency response across different regions of the world. With more than a decade of experience in the humanitarian, cultural and education sectors, she has led high impact initiatives in resource mobilisation, project management, curatorship and knowledge production. She is the author of two educational books on human rights and contemporary challenges and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Migration, Interethnicities and Transnationalism at NOVA FCSH.
