António is an assistant professor of philosophy at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa, with research areas such as Ancient Philosophy, Contemporary Philosophy and Phenomenology.
He graduated with distinction from the same University in 1988.
In 1990 he concludes the master’s degree with the theme: “Problemas Fundamentais da Fenomenologia” de Husserl.
In 2002 he published his doctoral thesis “A Areté como Possibilidade Extrema do Humano – Fenomenologia da Praxis em Platão e Aristóteles” in the INCM.
Advisor to seminars for translation of Greek, Latin and German, it is due to António de Castro Caeiro the translation into Portuguese of one of the most precious inheritances of Aristotle, the “Nicomachean Ethics”.
